Lightwork Life

Lightwork Life Episode #1 - The Wood Pile and Ventilation Fan
Image

The first full length Lightwork Life episode! This episode includes some re-organization of our wood pile, moving our usable wood to a new location and categorizing it into different types of wood. The ventilation fan is a new instillation at Hawk House to reduce the propane in the cabin coming off the stove. Comes complete with a new shelf!

Lightwork Life Episode #2 - Clipping Back the Road
Image

This episode includes a completion of our ventilation system, road maintenance and snow!  The ventilation fan is almost done, and this week Scott and Krista are building a shelf above it.  In our temperate rain forest climate, clipping back the trees and bushes is a regular road maintenance job.  Julia leads a crew of ecovillagers all down the road, making sure there's enough space for vehicles to drive.

Lightwork Life Episode #3 - Construction and Eddie
Image

We start this episode off carrying our water up the hill. This is no small feat! Our water supply is still coming from the city.  We also work some more on the roof construction of the cob building. Eddie (one of our on-site trucks) needs some charging, so Scott and Keith boost the batteries. We finish off with some more construction.

Lightwork Life Episode #4 - Easter and Putting in the Post
Image

This episode encompasses two weekends at the ecovillage.  Our annual easter hunt was awesome as always!  We searched for chocolate eggs, but also for haiku's about cherry blossoms.  Our next big project at the ecovillage is one of the last posts at the cob house.  This post is very functional, but also artistic.
