There were light clouds in the sky accompanied by loads of sunshine and a light cool breeze as we arrived at the lovely Lightwork Ecovillage.
The initiative that day was to make some final decisions on building locations and stake them out. Scott finds the corner of the proposed Community House.
From this lovely site the Ecovillage rolls away down a slight hill with the ocean peeking through the trees and Bowen Island in the distance. It feels great here.
Krista stands at the proposed spot of our cob building workshop this summer.
Testing the ground! Scott digs a test hole for rock foundation and finds the ground easy to work.
1 foot deep, 1 foot wide, 2 feet long in 5 minutes. Nothing wrong with that!
There is only 1 inch of dark top soil here and then we are into a lighter subsoil which we need for our cob mixture, right Jim?
