The sun shone upon us (Keith, Krista, Scott and Julia) on Sunday, as we braved the seas of Howe Sound for a delicious Ecovillage adventure. Insulation was the theme of the day, with digressions into oil-changing, raspberry-planting and apple-cider drinking.
Morning sun on the garden. Raspberry plants went in today!
Krista and Julia - insulation ninjas! Our Eco-homes are coming, for now we are using the conventional cabin that came with the land.
A top notch job!
Troopy getting ready for a much needed oil change
Keith performs his first ever oil change, and makes it look easy!
Snowy peaks in the distance
A toad and some egg sacs were spotted in the well. Nice to see our amphibious friends back again. Frogs are very sensitive to environmental pollutants, and so their presence is a sign of healthy water. We also saw a pair of Canada geese and some eagles.
We're looking forward to having a sleepover at the land in April, and we hope to have the cabin fully insulated by then.
