The Ecovillage has been blanketed with snow for about a month now.  For some it was their first time seeing snow on the land.  The Ecovillagers have been away for a few weeks, and are about to see how the property has held up in the Great Canadian Winter.

As Eddie pulls up, the crew excitedly anticipates checking out the access road to the Ecovillage. Construction on this road has continued since the last work party. Everyone is happy to see the progress.

Evidence of heavy wind and snow are visible all over the land. Amazingly the inukshuks stand tall through it all.

The cob structure has been under tarps for the winter, to stay dry. During the heavy snows and winds several of the tarps were ripped off and had to be put back in place during the day's work party.

The snow is beautiful. The snow is also amazingly heavy and combined with the wind is a force to be reckoned with. Hawk House sustained some damage to the roof during these early winter storms.

The Ecovillage board has a quick meeting. It's hard to beat this beautiful boardroom. Yeah! They normally meet weekly in the Lightwork Sanctuary.

Low lying fog sits on top of the ocean, creating a surreal visual effect and quite an adventure to drive through in the water taxi.
