The monsoons start to create puddles and streams this time of year.
One of the challenges of having a hand built road is making sure that the drainage is working properly. The amount of water that comes down in the Winter can easily wash out some Ecovillage roads, so managing the drainage is an important and surprisingly fun job.
It is kind of like when you were a kid and you get to play in the water all day long making canals and playing with mud. The Ecovillagers had a great day and the water is flowing appropriately.
Yes the monsoons are what keep this part of the world so incredibly lush. The life-giving waters are a blessing.
