Summer is sweet at the ecovillage, sunshine and birdsong greet the ecovillagers in the morning. Projects are being done at the ecovillage to make the most of the season, bringing the summer light to the places that need it, including the ecovillagers themselves who often bask in the rays and under solar showers.
The deck in the morning greets ecovillagers with it's seasonal beauty. Lightwork moving meditation is done on the deck in the morning. Movement is a welcome way to wake up when days are spent doing physical labour, and the glory of a morning meditation is splendid indeed.
A flower display greets morning meditators.
Foxglove fantastic-ness.
Beans are a crop which we will be seeing a lot of at the ecovilllage in the years to come.
These seedlings are happily growing on the deck.
Yum! Get ready for fresh lettuce at lunch.
A small fig tree awaits a home in the orchard.
The deck is surrounded by luscious potted plants.
Scott has lovingly planted petunias and nasturtiums.
These nasturtium leaves are gigantic!
Awesome foliage dude!
The lettuce made it into salad rolls which were eaten at lunch. Scrumptious.
This is the welcoming sight which greets you upon arriving at Hawk House.

Dandelion flowers are needed as an element of the compost activator.
The activator has several ingredients, the ones prepared this day; dandelion, nettles and yarrow.
This yarrow grew right in front of Hawk House.
Nettles all ground up and ready for the next step.
The mint from our garden makes an invigorating tea.

Once all the ingredients have been collected over the season we will have a concoction which will help our rich compost break down swiftly.
