The clouds were swirling around Bowyer Island as the Ecovillage crew did the crossing out to the sacred lands.
Keith receiving the healing of nature.
The winter mists still wisp through Gambier Islands beautiful forests.
Keith and Scott preparing themselves for a massively physical day at the Ecovillage. They love it.
We are building a new driveway to the Ecovillage land in order to get Troopy, our small 4-wheel drive vehicle through, some small alder trees need to be taken out. This gives Scott an opportunity to practice his logging skills. Every tree he dropped that day landed exactly where he wanted it to land. He was very pleased.
The trees where cut into 22 foot lengths and piled neatly. They will be used later for Ecovillage projects. Thank you land for providing.
Logging by hand it a very physical experience. These tree lengths weighed hundreds of pounds but Scott, Keith and Julia were able to wrangle them never-the-less.
Keith dropping the end of another alder log.
Its first life is complete, its second life will begin shortly.
Logging is fun!
Julia and Keith were all over the corn thins on the water taxi home. A satisfying day.
At the end of the day Scott is very happy with the path we are walking together.
