The Ecovillage crew had been anxious to see their lovely Ecovillage in a
blanket of snow. They would have their chance today. As they arrived at the Fircom
Dock the sun broke through. Most excellent.
Krista heading up the road, Ecovillage bound.
Maple Valley Road in snow and sunshine. So beautiful.
Krista’s footprints alongside a deer’s footprints. Both living here in harmony.
It was awesome to see all the activity of the Ecovillage wildlife recorded in the snow. Here a deer had walked. Obviously focused on a destination, no stopping and dilly dallying today, according to the tracks. (Look how straight he walked.)
The cob structure hunkered down waitin’ for the spring.
A snowy path to Hawk house.
Hawk house and Troopy (under the tarp) in the stillness of a winter’s day.
The inukshuks keep their sacred balance through the winter storms. (It’s all energy.)
From the hawk house the mountains across the channel covered with snow were breath-taking.
Lunch in the winter sun with sweet asparagus.
Scott at home at the Ecovillage.
Krista basking in the winter sun, a commodity to be savoured this time of year.
The road back down to the dock with mountains on high.
The orangey winter sunset warms up the snowy mountains.
What a gorgeous day!
As the sun sinks behind the Sunshine Coast the water taxi arrives to scoot Scott and Krista back home to the reality of the metropolis. Ecovillage: We’ll be back soon!
