Sitting on the beautiful Hawk House deck one can see the sun rise over the mountaintops.
This is a magical time of day to connect with nature and self.
Here comes the sun!
The new deck extension invites you to sit down, enjoy the view, tune into the abundance of the West Coast and the way of life being created at the Ecovillage.
Scott enjoying a warm beverage, the cool November air and the feel of the sun on his face.
Just sit back and relax.
The sun is a blessing when working outside in the elements, harvesting fallen trees, fixing tarp systems blown down by the November storms and simply being outside all day. It is a much different way of life then in the city. The land is intense and elements very real here.
SUN! SUN! SUN! Here we come!
A view of the sun and the roof over the Hawk House deck.
The crew fixing an old logging road to make it drivable to harvest a 30 foot fallen tree with the help of Troopy.
The crew cleared enough of the road for Troopy to drive up it. Scott then cut up the fallen tree into 8 foot lengths with a chainsaw. Each 8 foot log that was cut the crew then carried out of the bush on their shoulders to Troopy. It was a satisfying vigorous work out.
