Scott discovered a little late summer gift at the garden. Our dwarf sunflowers magically appeared with much splendor.
Frustrated with a dark corner of the cabin Scott pulls out the chainsaw and cuts a hole in the wall for more light.
Scott is half in the cabin and half out of the cabin as he finishes the installation of our new kitchen window.
Hi!
Ahh, much more light as we cook up our beautiful ecovillage meals.
As the light moves towards the west our new window draws it in.
Eric is no longer a cob virgin! Krista has seen to that! Julia at back of shot peers over cob wall.
Nice looking cob!
Basil Robinson's latest contribution to the Peace Garden is a Tiger Eye. We are praying the deer do not find it tasty. Our first Peace Garden flowering bush has taken some abuse from the local 4-legged residence.
Other late bloomers in the garden.
We did neglect the garden this summer because of our focus on the cob structure but some gifts arrived in the garden anyway.
Some italian pole beans managed to bare fruit, so to speak.
We celebrated the pole bean bounty! And the bounty of our love.
The signs of fall are all around as we wait for the water taxi at the end of the day. The sun is low in the sky creating a million suns, a path of light.
Scott happy to be on the water as usual.
Eric enjoying the ocean as well.
As we cross the water we acknowledge the sweetness of our day and creation.
