Saturday we had an injection of fresh energy - Weston, Peter, Allison, Sandra and Nova all came out for the day bringing their biceps and good vibes - making our total crew 12 humans and 2 canines.
Weston rocks out.
Sandra fetches sand for another mix.
The building site was abuzz with activity.
Another mix is made - the wall keeps growing.
Happy feet.
Happy cobbers.
More happy cobbers.
Jim and Scott strategize as cob burritos are made.
Pete summons his steely PEZ-powered strength.
Weston and rock do a happy dance.
Nova inspects the progress (languidly), and contemplates a cob doghouse.
Allison and Sandra try something different - mixing cob with their hands - flashbacks to early years in sandbox ensue.
Jim works on the south-west corner.
Another row of bottles. These will allow natural light to pass through the wall.
These bottles will make a cool wave pattern in the finished wall.
Progress on the north-east corner.
At the end of the day we have a second door frame, two new foundations, and a much higher wall. Way to go team!
We are now about half-way through the workshop, and we've already seen an awesome amount of progress. Stay tuned for more!
